Ella Belly Mei Tai Review AND Giveaway!!!

You all know about my sick cloth diaper addiction. What you might not know, is that I have another addiction. Babywearing. I've crossed to the dark side. The bad place. And it turns out that babywearing is just as addicting as cloth diapers!

Today, I want to introduce you to Ella Belly! I've been lucky enough to get to know the creator, Kelly, through a board on Babycenter that we are both members of. She is SO nice, and makes an INCREDIBLE mei tai! Kelly sent Carson and I a fabulous mei tai to review, and I LOVE it!

First, I want to go over the construction of her carriers. Construction is THE most important part of a carrier. You want to be sure that your little one is safe! And they will most assuredly be safe in an Ella Belly! In addition to using heavy weight fabrics for the outer, Ella Belly carriers also have an interior support canvas as the "guts", making it heavy duty, and sturdy. Kelly also uses x box stitching to attach the straps with heavy duty polyester thread, so that the carrier can easily support a lot of weight.

There are a few features that I really love about the Ella Belly. I personally prefer padded straps, and the shoulder straps are nicely padded. Since I carry around a 30lb toddler, I like a little extra cush, and these straps absolutely offer that! Something else that I am now a big fan of is padding around the leg area. I had never thought about that, but it sure makes for a more comfortable ride for Chunky Monkey!

All Ella Belly MT's are also two sided. This rocks, because you can choose two fabrics you love, and it's like having two carriers. You can either have them coordinate, or be totally different, for different moods. Or, one side for you, one for hubby. Even with two side, the carrier is still very trim. It's easy to fold up, and bring along in the diaper bag. The straps are plenty long, too. I was able to easily do front and back carries, with leftover strap. You really need to be able to hold one of these bad boys to see how substantial they feel. I just can't tell you how supportive it is!

Kelly is also fabulous to work with. She has tried about every kind of carrier out there, and you can tell, because she has really created an outstanding product. If you have a question or concern, she is always happy to answer your questions, and in my experience, she does it quickly and thoroughly. That is always great to know, because I always seem to have questions when trying out a new carrier!
