C usually is a big flirt, and does really well with new people, so I wasn't too concerned about the hair cut. They put them in little airplane chairs, have TVs, and they had The Wiggles. I thought we were golden. I was SO wrong. The second we walked in, the kid developed a kung fu death grip on me. He wouldn't look at ANYONE. It was like pulling teeth just trying to get the BEFORE picture.
Then they had me carry him to the little airplane seat. I set him in there and strapped him in, and he LOST IT. The lady wasn't at ALL patient, and wouldn't let me get him settled or used to the idea. She immediately shooed me away, and he was screaming bloody murder.
Now, I don't really have a big issue with them asking me to walk away. C screamed more when he could see me. So, I walked away and sat down. But the thing is, he never even began to calm down. It got worse and worse the whole hair cut. That is what frustrated me. I don't understand why I couldn't have sat in one of the regular seats, with him on my lap. The girl cutting his hair also nicked his head with the clippers! I wasn't impressed, and we won't be going back. The hair cut was cute, though.
Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, he is a minute and a half or so of the ordeal. You would think somebody was sawing off his leg.

Oh, my! I'm glad every thing worked out well. I would love to see an after pic!
Poor Carson. I was crying with him. :( I am glad it all worked out. I would have been annoyed at the way you were treated too! Oh well, it's a moment to look back on and laugh. My brothers FB pic is his first haircut, and he was balling his eyes out, quite comical. So now C has a good FB profile pic. LOL
Aww poor thing!!!!
Can I just say that he's adorable even when he's crying.
It was obvious that the lady had no patience. What the hell is she doing cutting the hairs of babes then?
I don't like her. I don't. We just saw that place the other day (was interviewing for a seasonal gig nearby) and thought about taking D3 there for his 1st cut in a few months.
After reading (and seeing) this, I can tell ya where we WON'T be going! The extras tehy give (sell?) you sound cute, but not at the expense of being treated poorly by staff. What a bummer.
I agree with Stacie though, C's cute even when crying!
you can always bring him over here and sit him on your lap. Ive been doing hair for 8 years and have my own toddler.
Poor little guy!
I wanna go over there and slap her. AND knick her head with clippers- perhaps the face part of her head. THAT really angers me- she cut your baby!
I'm just glad you ended up liking the hair cut. (and yes, an after picture to cheer us all up now would be nice)
BTW thanks for affirming for me my idea that I will NOT be cutting my sons hair for a good long time. Nothing wrong with long hair... nothing wrong with that : )
Awww, your poor little guy. I would love to see an after picture!
Alright, this pissed me the HELL OFF!!!! Please tell me you are writing a complaint letter. There is NO reasonable reason she should have NICKED HIS EFFING HEAD?!?!?!?!?!?!? From the video, she was obviously rude, and a big bitch, and should NOT be cutting young children's hair! I would have marched my ass straight out of there if Gory was as upset as poor C was! DAMNIT! This makes me really pissed off, poor guy!
oh bless his sad little heart. I couldn't even watch the whole video; it made me too sad! And I'm jealous that he got a haircut. Melody is almost three and still no dice!
Poor C! I agree that you should write a letter of complaint. There's no way she should've treated you like that. Another milestone check marked off :) He is just too cute!
This is exactly why I cut my own kiddos hair. Well, except for this last time. :) He's 4 now and I finally got the guts to let someone else do it. I must say my little brother did a great job and was super patient with a sqwirming kiddo. Much better than the lady who cut your boys hair! Geesh, he's calm, show him the clippers, make him cry, then go right back to cutting??
