Nubunz and SweetDollBaby Diapers

So, we all know that I'm addicted to cloth diapers. And that I'm a twhore (that's twitter whore). So naturally, there is a lot of tweeting about diapers. One night, Nubunz diapers were all the chatter. Somebody had found them on Ebay, and they were SUPER affordable. The problem? Nobody had used them, or known anybody who had. So, while everyone else was tweeting away about them, I contacted the company!

Celine is a SUPER nice Mama who runs Nubunz and SweetDollBaby diapers. They are two separate diapers. SweetDollBaby was their first brand, and Nubunz is the new premier line. She sent me a few of each to try, so I could really get the feel for them.

These diapers are an OS with a snap down rise, which I love. You can get them in snaps, or applix. We chose snaps, because we aren't big applix fans over here. Applix typically results in a naked baby and pee covered crib/floor/furniture! The diapers are available in a variety of colors, which is great, I looooove me some color! I honestly had a hard time discerning a ton of difference between the two brands!

The biggest differences:

• SweetDollBaby runs bigger than Nubunz. They were a better fit for Heavy C.
• The inside lining is a bit different. SDB seemed like fleece, NB I thought was more suedecloth-ish. After a few washes though, I think it's just a different type of fleece.

The Good:

• Both brands come with two full size microfiber inserts. Those babies are THIRSTY!
• The snaps/tabs can overlap, to easily fit a small baby.
• There are 3 snaps on each waist tab, so you NEVER get wing droop!!
• They hold up GREAT! Mine have been used a LOT and still look great.
• The price!! A Nubunz diaper is only $9.50!! SDB are only $7.00!!
• Made in the USA!! Support our own economy!

The Bad:

• The Nubunz runs snaller than the SweetDollBaby. Not an issue unless you have a giant kid like mine!
• Inserts are microfiber, and some people prefer natural materials
• I do wish that they came in some fun prints!

As you can see, I really didn't find anything "negative" about these diapers. I think they are VERY comparable to Bumgenius diapers. Similar outer material, though these are fleece inner, and not suedecloth. These diapers also have a snapping option. I also want to mention their warranty. The Nubunz site states that the warranty is 120 days. That.is.AMAZING!! That is FOUR MONTHS worth of using the dipe! After the warranty is over, they will STILL repair any issue for free, you just pay shipping costs!
