Cloth Diaper Swap!

Edited to add: I've already gotten a few questions, so hopefully this will help! This does NOT need to be a $25 diaper! It certainly CAN be, but you could choose a less expensive diaper, and maybe extra inserts, or liners, a rash cream you love, or a small wet bag, just to give some ideas.

All items (diapers or diaper related) MUST be new, new in package, have tags, etc. Feel free to order online, and have it shipped directly to your partner.

So, I've participated in some online and bloggy swaps, which have been SUPER fun. I personally think there is nothing better than trudging to the mailbox, and finding that there is a lovely package there for you filled with fun stuff to distract you from the stack of bills lying underneath said package.

So, I decided I wanted to host my own bloggy swap! But, I decided to do a cloth diaper swap!! So many of my readers are cloth diaper addicts lovers, and we all LOOOOOVE to get fluffy mail!! What better way to do it, than to receive it as a gift??

Here's how it will work:

This swap is for NEW diapers. You will purchase a new diaper(s) or diaper related product for your swap partner.

The budget is $25 BEFORE SHIPPING COSTS. This is an approximate, but PLEASE try to stay right near this amount. It's not fair for your partner to send you a $25 Rumparooz, and for them to get a $14 diaper cover in return.

You will be sending to the same person who is sending to you, and I will pair you up after I receive all entries.

You will get an email letting you know your partners baby's size/age/gender, etc. This will help you shop.

Feel free to be creative, if there is an Etsy seller you LOVE, maybe send one of those. Is there a cloth diaper detergent you love? Maybe include a sample of that, or an insert/doubler you think is THE BEST, then send that along. This should be a fun way to let your swap buddy check out something new, or something they wouldn't/couldn't normally purchase for themselves

The cut off date for signing up is Tuesday September 15th by noon. This should give you plenty of time to assess your budget, and see if this is something that you can commit to. The "mail by" date is Saturday October 10th. This gives you just over a month, again to budget, and maybe set aside money in small amounts, if that is easier for you. I understand being on a budget, as we are in that same boat. Please, only commit to doing this if you really, truly will go through with it. It's not fair for somebody to get left out, when they were expecting a gift. I do ask that you try to mail as near to Oct. 10th as possible, so everyone receives their fluffy mail around the same time. I will then post a Mr. Linky so we can all link up, and show off our new fluff! Please also be willing to write up a blog post about your gift.

I ask for the brief description, because I will send it to your swap partner. While I don't at all want to dictate what your partner buys for you, if your child is allergic to suedecloth, or you despise applix, etc. then I want your partner to be aware. This is NOT a request forum, so please don't think it is! I just don't want any bums with rashes!!

Lastly, this is my first swap, so bear with me if I make mistakes, or need to update! Once I receive all the entries, I will send you your partner info by the 17th. I really hope you are as excited about this as I am!!
